Turbulence: Week Eleven in the Studio

Week eleven dawned with the anticipation of NCECA, a gathering of ceramic-centered artists from around the world. Yet, amidst the excitement and buzz of travel preparations, I found myself grappling with the aftermath of turbulence in my life, prompting a decision to stay home and focus on regrouping and realigning my priorities.

As my peers departed for NCECA, I embraced the solitude of home, finding solace in the comforting embrace of friends and the gentle purring of my ever-faithful Haunz. It was a week of introspection and renewal, a chance to pause and recalibrate amidst the chaos of life's uncertainties.

Surrounded by the warmth of friendship and the unconditional love of my cat, I found strength and resilience in the midst of adversity. As I navigated the challenges of life, I discovered a newfound sense of purpose and clarity, emboldened by the knowledge that even in the darkest of times, creativity remains a beacon of light and hope.

As the week drew to a close, I emerged from my cocoon of introspection with a renewed sense of purpose and vitality. Though I may not have been at NCECA in body, my spirit soared alongside my peers, fueled by the collective energy of the artistic community.

Week eleven may have been marked by upheaval and uncertainty, but it was also a testament to the power of resilience and the capacity of my human spirit to rise above adversity. As I look towards the future with optimism and determination, I carry with me the lessons learned from this week of reflection and renewal, ready to embrace whatever challenges and opportunities lie ahead.
